Help Us Build a New Library in Royal City!

Current Library

Royal City's library, a branch of the North Central Washington Library system, is in desperate need of an expansion.  Our community has grown and so have the needs of our library.  To serve the community better we need an updated and larger space.

Royal City Friends of the Library (501(c)(3)) have made it their mission to fulfill this need. An entirely new building will have to be constructed as the library's current building doesn't have sufficient space to expand. After years of discussion and planning, a new lot has been secured and architectural plans drawn.

The new library will be 4,000 sq feet and feature a children's reading area, conference/community room and a historical archive room. For more information, click on the "New Library Concept" tab to learn more.

Fundraising

Friends of the Royal City Library need your help raising funds. Fundraising efforts from private, corporate and public funds are welcome! We encourage all from our community- past and present, near and far, to contribute.

Library by the Foot

Join our campaign and "pay" for a square foot of the library for $100!* Your contribution will go directly to construction on Camelia Street. Our community is stronger when we band together so encourage friends, family and neighbors to participate in a donation today!

We have partnered with the Columbia Basin Foundation to coordinate financial efforts, facilitate donations and distribute tax forms. When you support the library you can see your monetary efforts come to fruition in our new building.

*Those who would like to buy 5 or more feet, please contact Friends of the Library, Elisha Cox or Susan Piercy, about becoming a Medallion level donor.

Donations can be made through Venmo @ Friends of the Royal City Library
